The SETUP

A completely conceptualized circus that takes place within the ‘Mad Max’ post-apocalyptic world; a radioactive wasteland where mutated survivors fight over remaining resources - including and in particular - water - and gasoline /all types of moving vehicles.

This universe is known for its distinctive diesel punk-inspired flare; its sense of superfluous & garish showmanship lends itself well to a circus environment.  Acts within this world would consist of a lot of motorcycles and motorized elements. Humans and animals alike would appear mutated and styled from a mixture of ‘found’ and repurposed items and the remnants of real clothing. The plot would heavily resemble the films, but with all original characters.

The SHOW

Setting is a smaller outpost in the American wasteland that is built around a water tower - old, rusted, with a massive treehouse-like structure built around it. Story begins as a tribute to the chief and Warlord of this outpost. The ‘Furiosa’ character of our show (aka, a general/groupie of sorts) also serves as the ringmaster - leading the WarBoys as her clowns/acrobats. The band eggs them on as they perform their stunts for their liege & his court of ‘wives’.

Just when the party is getting warmed up - the show takes a turn for the ‘serious’ as an attacking tribe enters the arena from the tunnels, trying to take the tower while the enemy is unprepared. Mayhem ensues - the ‘circus acts’ now disguised as warfare. Enemy Polecats going head to head against more Warboys swinging from tower to tower. Bikes up on the walls. War rig action in the main pit. The band is raging all the while.

Will the outpost successfully defend their tower from the attackers? Will the Warlord’s harem take their chance to escape during the chaos?
