Rachel is an experienced costume designer, buyer, and illustrator and is currently based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While she has maintained a focus in film & television, she has a deep love for all entertainment. She is a graduate from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, receiving her MFA in Costume Design in May of 2021, and has since gone on to work with Nickelodeon, Netflix, and more.

She is currently a member of IATSE 480 as a Designer and Buyer, having joined in 2022. She is also a member of the Costume Designer’s Guild as an Illustrator since 2024.

Originally hailing from Portland, Oregon, she made her way east after earning her Bachelor of Arts in film at Santa Fe University of Art Design in 2015. Her credits include designing, shopping, and rendering for a range of productions - from short films to commercials, TV shows and major motion pictures in New Mexico, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Design comes in many forms, and Rachel’s favorite way to design is on the page. While production is part of the design process, Rachel’s truest love is in pre-production and the conceptual phase. Collaborating in the development of characters and the aesthetic of a project is what drives her passion for costumes.

She considers herself on a mission to bring practicality, nuance, and style to every character she gets the honor to design.

Rachel is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is currently available for local film/theater/entertainment work and always open for concept commissions. Out-of-state opportunities are open for negotiation as well.
